On behalf of our council I would like to thank you for your interest in our Latino Greek Community and encourage you to browse through all parts of our website and our organizations.

The Latino Greek Council began in the Spring Quarter of 2005 with 5 historically Latino/a Greek Lettered Organizations here at UCLA. The coming together of these organizations marked a great milestone in the unification of our community and our organizations. With this unification came great programming in an effort to extend our services to the Latino community as well as the UCLA community at large. Our five organizations worked together to produce such events as our annual welcome fair "BIENVENIDA". This event features musical presentations, student organizations, food sales, games, as well as presentations by our now six member organizations. The work of our organizations extends from health initiatives to educational programming all for the benefit of our community. Our Latino Greek Week is the culminating series of events. It consists of a Health Fair, Educational Youth Conference, Greek Games, as well as a Roundtable Discussion on issues facing our community. Being part of our Latino Greek Council allows for events such as these to take form and it allows our member organizations to receive recognition on a national level. The Latino Greek Council at UCLA is proud to have received recognition from the Western Region Greek Association during their annual Leadership Conference.  

Our Latino Greek Council has grown to be composed of six organizations and currently one affiliate member organization. Founding member organizations are Gamma Zeta Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Lambda Theta Nu Sorority, Inc., Nu Alpha Kappa Fraternity, Inc., Phi Lambda Rho Sorority, Inc. and Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc, in addition now newly established member; Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority Inc. Currently the Latino Greek Council has one affiliate member, Sigma Lambda Beta International Fraternity, Inc.

We continuously strive to provide a community that will give support, experience, networking, and programming for our members. We hope you find this informative and seek further information about our Latino Greek Community.
